Two goals: harder to break in, easier to manage

Security work does two jobs. Physical upgrades make a door or window harder to force. Access upgrades decide who can get in and let you change that without collecting keys.

Most homes get the biggest improvement from a good deadbolt with a reinforced strike plate and long screws into the framing.

How ordering works

  1. Pick the service. Choose from the list above, or describe the problem if you are unsure.
  2. Tell us where and what. Add your location and the details that affect the job.
  3. Check the price and deposit. You see the standard price and any after-hours or holiday multiplier before you pay the deposit.
  4. We dispatch. A technician confirms authorization on arrival and explains any change in scope before doing extra work.

What do security and access upgrades cost?

Each service has its own standard price, quoted before dispatch and confirmed before work begins. Online orders pay the $15–$25 service call at checkout as the deposit: $15 inside city limits, $25 outside (plus a 4% online processing fee). It is a flat fee added to the service price, and the time-of-day multipliers never apply to it. The time of the call sets the multiplier:

  • Standard rate: orders placed 7 AM–8 PM
  • After hours (orders placed 8 PM–7 AM): 1.5×
  • Federal holidays (calendar date and observed date): 2×
  • Federal holiday, after hours: 3×
  • No weekend surcharge
  • Mileage: $1.25/mile beyond 5 miles from the city center

Multipliers apply to everything on the job (service, labor, parts and hardware) except the flat $15 (inside city limits) or $25 (outside city limits) service call and mileage. The after-hours rate is set by the time the order is placed. Holidays are U.S. federal holidays, billed on both the calendar date and the observed weekday.

Security & Access services FAQ

What is the most effective single upgrade for a front door?

For most homes, a solid deadbolt with a reinforced strike and long screws anchored into the framing.

Are smart locks less secure than regular locks?

Not inherently. Security depends on the lock's build quality, installation and how you manage codes and accounts.

What makes a lock high-security?

Typically restricted keys controlled by the system owner, plus added resistance to picking, bumping and drilling.

Does a smart lock stop working if the Wi-Fi goes down?

Most smart locks keep working at the door by keypad or key; remote features such as app control and code changes pause until the connection returns. Check your model's documentation.

Can one service cover both new locks and key control?

Yes. Many customers combine a rekey or new hardware with keypad entry so fewer physical keys exist. Describe your goal when ordering and we will suggest a combination.
