- Check the price and deposit. You see the standard price and any after-hours or holiday multiplier before you pay the deposit.
- We dispatch. A technician confirms authorization on arrival and explains any change in scope before doing extra work.
What does automotive locksmith service cost?
Each service has its own standard price, quoted before dispatch and confirmed before work begins. Online orders pay the $15–$25 service call at checkout as the deposit: $15 inside city limits, $25 outside. It is a flat fee added to the service price, and the time-of-day multipliers never apply to it. The time of the call sets the multiplier:
- Before 8 PM: standard
- After 8 PM: 1.5×
- Federal holidays: 2×
- Federal holiday after 8 PM: 3×
Multipliers apply to the standard service price only; the $15 (inside city limits) or $25 (outside city limits) service call stays flat at any hour. Holidays are U.S. federal holidays.

Can you make a car key if I lost every key?
For most makes and models, yes. All-keys-lost jobs need a new key originated from the VIN or by decoding a lock, then programmed. Tell us the year, make and model so we can confirm before dispatch.
Do I need to tow my car to the dealer for a new key?
Often not. Instant Locksmith TN cuts and programs many keys where the vehicle is parked. Some newer vehicles may require dealer-only procedures, and we will tell you if yours does.
Will opening my locked car damage it?
We use non-destructive entry tools designed for vehicles and work carefully around door seals, wiring and airbags.
What information should I have ready?
Year, make and model, where the vehicle is, and whether you have any working key. Proof of authorization helps, even if your registration is locked inside.
