Payment & Deposit Policy

Summary

• Deposit: the service call, $15 inside city limits or $25 outside city limits, paid at checkout when you order online.
• Service price: the standard price for your job (car lockouts from $55, house lockouts from $80, other services quoted before dispatch), adjusted by the time-of-call multiplier.
• Your total = service price (with any multiplier) + the flat service call.
• Multipliers apply to the standard service price only, never to the service call.
• Final price is confirmed with you before any work begins.

How you pay

Online orders at /order-a-locksmith are paid through Squarespace's standard checkout, using Squarespace Payments or the card processor connected to our Squarespace store. You pay by credit or debit card. Instant Locksmith TN does not see or store your full card number; it is handled by the checkout and payment processor.

The remaining service price is due when the work is complete. [CONFIRM: accepted on-site payment methods for the balance (e.g., card via payment link, Tap to Pay) and whether phone orders also pay the service call up front.]

The deposit is the service call

When you order online, you pay the $15–$25 service call at checkout as your deposit:

• $15 for addresses inside city limits
• $25 for addresses outside city limits

The service call covers dispatching a technician and their travel to you. It reserves your dispatch, and it is a separate fee in addition to the service price. It is not credited against or deducted from the service price. For example, a standard-hours car lockout inside city limits starts at $55 for the service plus the $15 service call, a $70 starting total.

Whether the service call is refundable depends on when you cancel; see the Cancellation Policy. In short, it is refunded in full if you cancel before the technician gets into their vehicle and starts driving to you, and it is non-refundable after that.

Your price is confirmed before work begins

Before the technician starts, they confirm the price for the job in front of them. The price can change only if the job turns out different from what was described — for example, a different lock, extra parts, a key broken inside the lock, or high-security hardware. The technician explains the change and gets your approval before continuing. You are never charged for additional work you did not approve.

If you decline a revised price, you pay nothing beyond the service call already paid.

Receipts

You'll receive a receipt from the checkout when you pay the service call, and an itemized receipt for the completed job by [EMAIL / TEXT] showing the service, any parts, the rate applied and the service call.

Refunds

Refunds that are due under our Cancellation Policy are returned to the original payment method through the checkout within [REFUND WINDOW]. Your bank may take additional time to post the credit.

Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer, bank or payment processor for services that Instant Locksmith TN provided, you agree to repay the full amount owed for those services plus a $300 fee to cover the logistical and administrative costs the dispute causes, and you authorize Instant Locksmith TN to collect those amounts, including by charging the payment method used for the order or through a collection agency or court. This does not limit your right to dispute a charge for services we did not provide, for an amount you did not approve, or for an unauthorized or fraudulent transaction.
