Who we are

Instant Locksmith TN (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides mobile locksmith services to automotive, residential and commercial customers in Tennessee. This policy covers instantlocksmithtn.com, our online order form at /order-a-locksmith, and communications with us by phone, text and email. Information we collect

Information you give us when you order or contact us:

• Name, phone number and email address
• Service address or the location where help is needed
• Vehicle information, such as year, make, model and VIN, when relevant
• Details about the problem, including the service selected, your description, and any photos you choose to text or email to us
• Information you provide to confirm you are authorized to access a vehicle, property, safe or container
• For a customer under 18, the name and contact details of the parent or guardian who confirms the situation
• Payment details for the service call and other payments. Online payments are processed through Squarespace's standard checkout by Squarespace Payments. We receive limited transaction details (such as your name, the amount and the last four digits of a card), but we do not see or store full card numbers. If you pay by Apple Pay, Cash App, Venmo or Zelle, that provider handles your payment under its own privacy policy.

Information collected automatically:

• The page you arrived on and campaign information (for example, UTM tags in a link), which we record with your order
• Device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed and similar usage data collected through cookies and analytics tools
• Call and message records when you phone or text us, such as time, duration and number

How we use your information

• To dispatch a technician, calculate mileage, quote and confirm your price, and complete the service you requested
• To communicate with you about your order by phone, text or email — including the en-route check-in, arrival updates, receipts and invoices
• To verify that you are authorized to access a vehicle or property before we open it
• To process deposits, payments and refunds, and to respond to payment disputes
• To handle warranty requests about hardware we installed or replaced
• To keep business, tax and service records
• To understand how our website is used so we can improve it
• To prevent fraud, misuse and unauthorized entry, and to comply with law

No marketing messages. Instant Locksmith TN does not send marketing emails or marketing texts. We contact you only about your order, your account, a warranty or privacy request, or a question you asked us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Who we share information with

• Service providers that help us operate, including Squarespace (our website platform and checkout) and Squarespace Payments for payments, and Microsoft 365 for receiving and handling orders and email. These providers may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Analytics providers, as described below.
• Verification resources. When identity or ownership needs to be confirmed, we may use investigative verification resources through a licensed private-investigation agency with which we have a direct relationship. We share information with that agency only in connection with a service you have purchased, only with your consent, and only to confirm identity or ownership for that service.
• Emergency services or law enforcement when required by law, when we believe someone is in danger (for example, during an ILT Lifesaver response), or to report suspected unauthorized entry.
• Professional advisers, collection agencies and arbitrators or courts when needed to resolve a dispute, collect an unpaid balance or enforce our agreements.
• A successor business if Instant Locksmith TN is sold, merged or reorganized.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Squarespace, our website platform, sets cookies needed for the site and checkout to work. We may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand traffic and how visitors use our pages.

We do not use Microsoft Clarity or other session-recording tools, and we do not use advertising pixels (such as Meta or Google Ads tracking pixels). If that ever changes, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

How long we keep information

We keep order, service, verification and payment records for 18 months after your most recent order, then delete or de-identify them — unless a longer period is required by law or the records are needed to resolve a pending dispute, warranty claim or collection matter. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the analytics provider.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights under the Tennessee Information Protection Act

The Tennessee Information Protection Act gives Tennessee residents rights over their personal information. Instant Locksmith TN honors the following requests from any customer:

• Access: confirm whether we process your personal information and get access to it.
• Correction: correct inaccurate personal information.
• Deletion: delete personal information you provided or that we obtained about you, subject to records we must keep by law or to resolve a pending dispute.
• Portability: get a copy of your personal information in a portable, readily usable format.
• Opt out: opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or such profiling, so there is nothing to opt out of today, but you may still submit an opt-out request and we will record it.

How to submit a request. Email contact@instantlocksmithtn.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, tell us which right you are using, and include the name, phone number or email used on your order so we can find your records. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will not discriminate against you for using these rights.

Response timeline. We respond within 45 days of receiving your request. If we reasonably need more time, we may extend that once by up to 45 additional days and will tell you why within the first 45 days.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing contact@instantlocksmithtn.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. We will answer your appeal in writing within 60 days. If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact the Tennessee Attorney General.

Children

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. When a customer under 18 is served, we collect only what is needed to confirm the situation with a parent or guardian and complete the service. Information about a child shared with us during an ILT Lifesaver emergency is used only to respond to that emergency and as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
