What counts as a locksmith emergency
An emergency is anything that leaves you unable to get in, unable to leave, or unable to secure a door. We aim to deploy within about one hour inside city limits when feasible, but that is a goal, not a promise: demand, technician availability, traffic, weather, location and job complexity all affect it.
If a child or pet is trapped in a vehicle or home and may be in danger, call 911 first.

- Locked out of your home: house lockout.
- Locked out of your business: commercial lockout.
- Door damaged in a break-in: break-in lock repair. Call police first if anyone may still be inside.
- Key snapped in the lock: broken key extraction.

How to avoid a scam when you are stressed
Be wary of any locksmith who quotes a very low number on the phone and then raises it at the door, or who wants to drill a lock before trying anything else. Drilling is our last resort, at a published $200 plus the service call, approved before we drill. We confirm the price before work and explain any change before continuing.

How ordering works
- Pick the service. Choose from the list above, or describe the problem if you are unsure.
- Tell us where and what. Add your location and the details that affect the job.
- Check the price and deposit. You see the standard price and any after-hours or holiday multiplier before you pay the deposit.
- We dispatch. A technician confirms authorization on arrival and explains any change in scope before doing extra work.
What does an emergency locksmith cost?
Each service has its own standard price, quoted before dispatch and confirmed before work begins. Online orders pay the $15–$25 service call at checkout as the deposit: $15 inside city limits, $25 outside. It is a flat fee added to the service price, and the time-of-day multipliers never apply to it. Emergency calls are not marked up for urgency. The time of the call sets the multiplier:
- Before 8 PM: standard
- After 8 PM: 1.5×
- Federal holidays: 2×
- Federal holiday after 8 PM: 3×
Multipliers apply to the standard service price only; the $15 (inside city limits) or $25 (outside city limits) service call stays flat at any hour. Holidays are U.S. federal holidays.
Emergency services FAQ
How quickly can you get to me?
We generally aim to deploy within about one hour inside city limits when feasible. Actual timing depends on demand, technician availability, traffic, weather, location and the job.
Do you charge more for emergencies?
Not for urgency itself. Calls after 8 PM are 1.5× standard, holidays 2×, and holiday calls after 8 PM 3×. You see the price before work begins.
Can you secure my door tonight after a break-in?
In most cases we can repair or replace damaged locks and strikes so the door locks again. Badly damaged doors or frames may need a carpenter afterward.
Do I need proof I live there?
We verify authorization before opening anything, but we do not necessarily require a utility bill or lease. Expect a few questions.
Can someone else call for me?
Yes, but the authorized person must be present when we open the door or vehicle.
