Our after-hours pricing, in plain terms
Instant Locksmith TN publishes its after-hours and holiday multipliers so you know how pricing works before you call. Each service has a standard price. The time of your call can apply one multiplier to that standard price; the $15–$25 service call is never multiplied.

A worked example: car lockout inside city limits
Here is how our real published prices work out for a car lockout inside city limits. The car lockout standard price starts at $55, and the service call inside city limits is a flat $15. These are starting prices; the final price is confirmed before work begins.

Notice that only the service price is multiplied. The service call stays flat at $15 inside city limits ($25 outside city limits) no matter when you call. The holiday-night rate is the two multipliers combined, not added, which is why it's 3× rather than 2.5×.

Sometimes waiting is reasonable and saves you money. Sometimes it isn't. Ask yourself two questions: is anyone unsafe, and can the property be secured tonight?

Ways to keep after-hours costs down
- Describe the job accurately. Lock brand, vehicle year, make and model, and photos help us quote correctly so the price doesn't change on site.
- Fix only what's urgent tonight. Get in or get secured now; schedule upgrades or a full rekey for standard hours.
- Keep a spare where you can reach it. A trusted neighbor or a secure lockbox can prevent the next late call.
What will my after-hours call cost?
Standard price: quoted before dispatch. Online orders pay the $15–$25 service call at checkout as the deposit: $15 inside city limits, $25 outside. It is a flat fee added to the service price, and the time-of-day multipliers never apply to it. Details are in our Payment & Deposit Policy.
Your price is the standard price for the service you need, multiplied by the rate that applies when you call. There is no separate after-hours fee; this page explains the multiplier, which applies to the service price only.

Which days count as holidays?
Holiday pricing applies on U.S. federal holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Washington's Birthday (Presidents Day), Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Holiday calls are billed at 2× the standard service price, or 3× after 8:00 PM.
Why is a holiday night call 3× and not 2.5×?
The multipliers compound. A holiday doubles the standard price, and the after-8 PM rate multiplies that by 1.5, so standard × 2 × 1.5 = 3×.
Is the multiplier applied to parts too?
The multiplier applies to the service's standard price. The service call stays flat at $15 inside city limits or $25 outside. If your job turns out to need different parts or hardware than described, we explain the change and get your approval before continuing.
Do you take calls on weekends?
Yes. We are open 24/7/365, weekends included. The 1.5× and 2× multipliers are based on after-8 PM and holiday timing; see our pricing page for how weekend calls are priced.
Can I book an after-hours call for the next morning instead?
Yes. If the situation can safely wait, order online and choose a standard-hours time. Ordering ahead also helps with dispatch planning.
